WILD&JAG/GAME&HUNT, welcomes the inclusion of hunting under Coronavirus level 4, as announced in the DRAFT FRAMEWORK FOR SECTORS, made available by the South African government on 25 April 2020.
Level 5 – No Hunting, no interprovincial travel
Level 4 – As from next Friday 01 May – Yes you may hunt!!!, no interprovincial travel, but not allowed to sleep over?
Level 3 – Yes we may hunt, only in the province you reside, but not allowed to sleep over?
Level 2 – We may hunt, may travel over provincial borders, but not allowed to sleep over.
Level 1 – We may hunt, travel over provincial borders and may sleep over on the hunting farm.
Trough all the levels, social distancing (2m away from other persons) to be applied in public and subject to curfews (8pm to 5am)
Level 5 – No hunting
A. Agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing:
1. Food-related agriculture, livestock, transport of live animals and auctions
(subject to health directions) and related agricultural services;
2. All fishing, operation of fish hatcheries and fish farms; and
3. Harvesting and storage activities essential to prevent the wastage of
primary agricultural goods
R. Personal Movement:
1. Interprovincial travel is not permitted except to return to work with proof of
employment; for movement of learners, with permit; in exceptional
circumstances such as funerals (with approval) or essential services.
Level 4 – Yes we may hunt!!! but?
A. Agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing:
1. All agriculture, hunting, forestry, fishing and related services, including the
export of agricultural products permitted
R. Personal Movement:
1. Interprovincial travel is not permitted except to return to work with proof of
employment, in exceptional circumstances such as funerals (with
approval) or essential services.
Level 3 – Yes we may hunt!!! but?
A. Agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing:
1. All agriculture, hunting, forestry, fishing and related services permitted
I. Accommodation and food service activities:
1. Accommodation not permitted, except for quarantine, essential services
R. Personal Movement:
1. Interprovincial travel is not permitted except to return to work with proof of
employment, in exceptional circumstances such as funerals (with
approval) or essential services.
Level 2 – Yes we may hunt!!! but?
A. Agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing:
1. All agriculture, hunting, forestry, fishing and related services permitted
1. Accommodation permitted for quarantine, essential services
1. Interprovincial travel is permitted
Level 1 – Yes we may hunt!!!

1. All agriculture, hunting, forestry, fishing and related services permitted
I. Accommodation and food service activities:
1. Accommodation permitted
1. No limitation on personal movement but persons are encouraged to limit
movement to essential travel
